Member Update

Members,
We love it when you contribute to the club.  Recently, I received a clay unicorn from pots and pallets.  But you don't have to give physical gifts, just use the Unicorn Club well, and be respectful of the club, remember that Maddie, Mikenzie, Olivia, and Megan(me) spend on this.  Have fun, but don't get too carried away.

JUST DO THE RIGHT THING, AND THIS WILL BE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chinese food!

Just kidding, no Chinese food:( You will get a packet and passes though:)

Awesome Features (Member Update)

We have lots of cool features for members. Coming soon is an all-you-can-eat-Chinese-buffet!

Member Update

Members,
Use this website to your advantage. Many people think that the meetings take up too much of their recess, so now we can keep the meetings short , and if you just can't  come one day, than you can just check the site to see if there is anything that you may have missed.  Also, find things you won't get to know about through anything else.

T-SHIRT MONEY AND PERMISSION DUE WEDNESDAY THE 1!
Anyone who does not return money AND permission by Wednesday will not receive a shirt!

The earlier blog informed you that there will be a pet unicorn available for anyone who would like one. It works like this:

Step 2: Draw a large picture of your pet.
Step 3: Cut.
Step 4: Draw accessories for your pet.
Step 5: Cut.
Step 6: Care for your pet.
Step 7: Repeat step 6 daily.

Member Update

Hi girls!

I have something new for you!  This is something that you don't have to participate in, but should be fun.  Each person who accepts will be given a virtual pet unicorn that they must care for.  There will be no physical materials, this is all about you using your imagination.

Let me know if you would like to participate or not;)

For Members

Welcome to the site, members!   Here you can get all the updates you need. Remember to check for new blogs titled " Member Update " to keep up.

Projects

Use projects to help girls work together with their group and to address issues in  the classroom. Have projects available every 1-2 weeks for groups to work on.  For your convenience I have included this example:
 Project 1
Step 1: Decide with your group upon something that can be improved on.
Step 2: Create a presentation or display to express how to fix it.
Step 3:At the end of the project, you will have an opportunity to present your display/presentation to the class.  You do not HAVE  to present to the class, but it would be wonderful if you at least did it to us. {:

Create Your Club

The Unicorn Club encourages relationships in the classroom and out. We use projects to  help girls make real friends.

You can start a club just like this by following these easy steps:

                     1. Get together with a few of your friends and call yourselves the "founders" (don't exclude anyone)
                      2.  Decide what group you want to reach out to- your class, neighborhood or just everyone you can find.  Create an opportunity for people to sign up to become a member.
                     3. If you have many members create small groups filled with members who don't typically  hang out with each other.
                     4. Try to have meetings once every 1-3 weeks
                     5. At meetings you may discuss  projects* or classroom issues with members.
                     6. Have occasional fun aspects like club passes, and all-you-need-to-know booklets to anthems**.
                    7. HAVE LOTS OF FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* Create projects that will build teamwork within the group. See Projects blog (coming soon)

**On a field trip bus, we created our Unicorn Anthem:

 Sparkly unicorns
How we appreciate your rainbow gas
 Now we can see
 Your sparkly mess
 Up in the clouds.
 Nailed it!
 Whoooooo!
